Cristina {Eagle Springs TX Maternity Photographer}

There is something special in mommies-to-be, a confidence that I don’t see in my other subjects, a delicacy and profoundness that streams in every image I take of them. Cristina is a true example. In the beginning of her maternity photoshoot in the English Garden in Eagle Springs, TX I wasn’t sure how comfortable she would be with some individual closeups. Decide for yourself:

Her favorite two men couldn’t wait to join in on the fun as well.

Cristina had warned me about little Billy – her adorable son soo to be a big brother. She worried he wouldn’t cooperate for the pictures. When I hear that I aways think – perfect, I’ll get really great natural shots of him having fun. Billy I think surprised even his mommy and daddy how great he was!

It really touched my heart when Cristina asked me to take some shots of Billy with his daddy. I am always on the hunt for great photos of Eli with Robb, fathers and sons have a special connection that has no limits.

What made me the happiest was when Cristina and her husband made time for themselves – no words can relay the chemistry that those two have:

What a gorgeous family this baby girl is being welcomed in!

Emerson {Humble TX Family Photographer}

“A ray of sunshine” I thought when I first saw Emerson. And somehow instinctively I must have set up her first shot such that it captured exactly that:

We went to the Summerwood TX ponds for our photo session. “I can’t wait to feed the ducks” she exclaimed when we met! And why  was I not surprised?! It’s such a fun location, where families love to spend time by the water, at the gazebo, run around the playground … but most of all bring yummy crumbs for the ducks at the park. So that lingered in my head as Emerson perfectly posed at each spot I had picked. She has the patience of an angel.

At the end of the session, the moment that Emerson had been looking forward to the whole time came. And so did the moment I loved capturing the most of the whole session:

The Lumpkin Family {Eagle Springs TX Family Photographer}

Recently I volunteered by gifting a Classic Digital Package to the Atascocita Springs Elementary for their Fall 2012 Silent Auction. And this beautiful family – the Lumpkin’s won it!

I was so excited to meet them. Upfront Kelly expressed a concern about Camryn’s tendency (her younger daughter) to smile but not look at the camera. They must have practiced at home or as Steve put it “Kelly takes tons of pictures of them from the moment they were born” – Camryn was a superstar! She posed and danced and laughed and most importantly made consistent eye contact with the camera, although my favorite image of her is when she is actually looking away – so dreamy 🙂

Marley, their older daughter, is 7 and already so grown up. She approached each set up with such grace and elegance!

And I absolutely love the next image of the whole family. Have to give credit to Kelly for asking me to tilt the camera and frame the shot in a more unusual way than just horizontal or vertical. It makes the gallery so much more personal when clients have ideas and I am always excited to try them and incorporate them.

Here are some more images of our fun and thorough session. Enjoy!
